In 2001, Dr. Arthur was appointed Assistant Professor of Audiology and Speech Pathology at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana.  Her responsibilities included supervising Doctor of Audiology students and teaching audiologic rehabilitation coursework.  Her main clinical interests include diagnostic testing and rehabilitation of hearing in children.  She was asked to teach pediatric diagnostic protocols to the Audiology staff at Ball Memorial Hospital, and at community outreach seminars for the state of Indiana supported Birth to Three Early Intervention Program, also known as “First Steps”.  In 2003, Dr. Arthur moved to Virginia and took on the role of Audiology Coordinator at Ear, Nose and Throat, Ltd, a practice with six Otolaryngologists and five Audiologists.   Her areas of expertise included diagnostic testing and hearing aid fittings for children and adults.

Dr. Arthur has been with CENTA since it’s opening in November of 2006.  In addition to the diagnostic protocols, Dr. Arthur has focused on the rehabilitative aspects of audiology by performing auditory processing test batteries and digital hearing aid fittings.  By collaborating with the surrounding school systems and community professionals, Dr. Arthur has worked to achieve best family practices for the patients at CENTA.   She received her Au.D. (Doctor of Audiology) degree in 2008 from the University of Florida.  Dr. Arthur is currently a member of the American Academy of Audiology, and the American Speech-Language Hearing Association.

She enjoys reading, running and spending time with her husband Michael, and their three children.
