Gina O’Connor, ARNP

Gina was born and raised in South Florida, before moving to Orlando to attend college at the University of Central Florida. After graduating with her BSN in 2005, she started her nursing career in the ICU and loved the challenge of caring for critically ill patients. After a few years, she joined the NICU team at Winnie Palmer Hospital and spent nearly 5 years caring for premature and critically ill infants and assisting in high risk deliveries.

She then spent nine years working as a PACU nurse in outpatient surgery centers, where she worked with the physicians of CENTA. After graduating with honors from UCF in 2018, with her Family Nurse Practitioner degree, she was excited to join the team at CENTA. As a Family Nurse Practitioner, Gina is trained to care for patients across the lifespan but has always loved working with children and their families. Gina loves spending time with her husband and their two daughters. She enjoys yoga, biking, kayaking, camping, and the beach.
