Jessica was born and raised in Central Florida. After high school, she stayed local and attended the University of Central Florida. During her time in the nursing program at UCF, she obtained experience working at the various Orlando area hospitals, including Florida Hospital and Orlando Health. As part of her nursing practicum, she completed an internship in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Winnie Palmer Hospital, where her passion for pediatrics first developed. She graduated in 2011 with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. After graduating, she worked as a Registered Nurse in the Level 3 NICU at Winnie Palmer Hospital for 5 years.
